Cascade Creek Progress

Andy just received some photos of “Cascade Creek”, a water feature at Cascade Park that is activated by rainwater collected from adjacent buildings, paved surfaces in the park and field under-drains.

Water Shortage Announced

Seattle Public Utilitiesoff-site link activated their Water Shortage Contingency Plan on March 16th, after Mayor Greg Nickels announcedoff-site link that we are now in the first, or ‘Advisory’, stage of the plan. We encourage everyone to visit SavingWater.orgoff-site link, where you can learn about ways to conserve water at home, at the office and of course, in the landscape. SavingWater.org is sponsored by the Saving Water Partnership, a group of local utilities that fund water conservation programs in Seattle and King
County.
