Magnuson Park, Taking Big Steps & Making the News

December 18th, 2006

The demolition of the old commissary building on the morning of December 8th marked the beginning of big change at Warren G. Magnuson Park. We have been working on the phase 2 master plan for the park; this portion will take the 43 park acres and turn it into 23 acres of wetland habitat, 8 acres of passive open space & 11 acres of new ballfields. Seattle Parks & Recreation hosted the public demolition & offered hot chocolate, coffee & cookies to celebrate the beginning phase 2 work after delays in funding and final approval from the Seattle City Council.

Take a peek at other articles & project pages about Warren G. Magnuson!

The Berger Partnership buys a Toyota Prius

December 12th, 2006

The partners announced the purchase of a Toyota Prius for the office at a recent November Monday meeting and it arrived for use shortly there after. Everyone in the office was excited and very grateful. Having the Prius allows staff to cycle or take mass transit to work and provides fuel efficient, low emissions transportation for work errands, meetings, site visits, etc. This is yet another environmentally responsible endeavor for The Berger Partnership whose legacy of sustainability dates back to 1978!
