Step it Up with WEC & Green Tree

March 6th, 2007

From the Washington Environmental Council Websiteoff-site link:

Do you want to take action to reduce global warming? We hope you’ll join thousands of people across the country for a day of climate action on Saturday, April 14th. On that day, people just like you in hundreds of cities all across the nation will participate in a day of action to address the problem of global warming. Together, we will call on our elected officials to take bold action to reduce global warming pollution.

The Washington Environmental Council is working with a coalition of other groups to organize this exciting event in Seattle. After the march of global warming solutions, there will be a rally where we’ll hear from leaders who have already stepped up to make a commitment for real action on global warming. And we will call on individuals and elected officials to make a commitment to be part of the solution. At the solutions fair, organizations, businesses, and local governments will show what you can do in your daily life to follow through on your personal commitment to tackle this global problem.
