” on their Seattle branch website. The article talks about the influence of malls on American culture, the fall of many & the optimistic future of some. They inquire about the future of these massive, empty sites (see Dead Malls). In Bellevue, as Factoria Mall loses many of its retailers, Kimco Development Group has turned to a redevelopment that will focus on becoming a useful, long-term multipurpose community space, Marketplace @ Factoria. The Berger Partnership is working on this project which will house retailers, as well as include pedestrian walkways, outdoor dining and residential units.
