Katie Bang

Landscape Architect, Project Manager

Katie joined TBP upon graduation from Washington State University. During her studies she collaborated with the Chicago Botanic Garden and the American Horticulture Therapy Association to publish Designing Natural Therapeutic Environments, in which she wrote a chapter on Interaction by Design. Katie takes a genuine interest in improving the quality of life of others by creating passive and active healing experiences.

Katie's experience ranges from Southwest Washington Medical Center, Cal Anderson Park, Issaquah Middle School, and Interurban Exchange to residential projects including a community development in Zhuhai China. She guides tours for the Seattle Architectural Foundation, and has recently received Washington State licensure.

A 4th generation Tacoma native, Katie likes to be out seeing the world. Her travels have lead her to eight countries (so far!), most recently visiting Italy and France.
