The master planning document for this urban planning project serves as a tool to shape future development and assess funding opportunities for the implementation of Lynnwood City Center's parks and streetscapes. The document provides a plan for prioritization and implementation, as this will likely be a multi-phase, multi-year project. To accomplish this, the Master Plan was completed in unison with the Streets Master Plan to identify street hierarchy, typical streetscapes, and special promenade streetscapes. Additionally, the plan identifies potential locations for four parks, park program elements, and unique and unifying characteristics each park might feature. The individual park master plans, known as Civic Park, Village Green, Icon Park and Town Square, are each designed to serve as the heart of their surrounding neighborhoods.
