The practice of landscape architecture combines my passions for design and the exploration of our natural environments. I love to weave these passions together at every scale ranging from urban waterfronts to a single family home. Working with clients and creative teams to explore the possibilities in design, shape a shared vision into a place, and develop a dream into a built environment is how I define success. I work with the ideal that every project, at any scale, has the potential to define a moment or a place.
As a Sustainable Building Advisor, I believe in the notion that we are quickly running out of space, overly pressuring our natural environments. I strive to work with clients, developers, and communities that look inward and reuse our existing landscapes. As a result, my practice to date has focused on re-purposing our urban environments, be it an industrial waterfront, building, brownfield, rail corridor, park space or alleyway. My desire is to reconnect our urban landscapes to their history, environment, and communities through design, balancing it with the importance to preserve our natural resources for future generations to explore.
I am currently working on the Redmond Central Connector, re-purposing an abandoned rail corridor that stitches the fabric of Redmond into a single pedestrian core.
