Mercer Island Public Safety Buildings receives National Award

We’re excited to share that the Mercer Island Public Safety and Maintenance Buildings received an Urban Design & Architecture Design Award, recognizing the project’s sustainable and integrated approach to civic design.

The site is designed to realize new buildings and service yards for city employees while protecting and enhancing the native habitat on the city’s existing twelve-acre site. The project is designed to turn climatic challenges—our region’s near-constant precipitation—into working opportunities.

Grateful for our partnership with Northwest Studio and the City of Mercer Island on this project, and for the recognition of this project in progress.
